Hello Harry, i have a customer producing HDPE with MFI 0.2 for plastic blow moulding, could you pls advise the suitable impact tester , with suitable hammer weight (JOULE)

Rania:  sorry for the delay ingetting bact to you but thankls for your question.  Both the Tinius Olsen IT503 & IT504 can be configured for either izod or charpy testing.  Generally speaking unfilled materials probably just need the 2.82J hammer weight but we can test a few samples for the customer to be certain of the energy level needed.  You'll also need the Model 899 notcher.  Please feel free to contact us if you need more information.
